  AM / PM - Arrival, met by your chauffeur guide and transfer to Negombo. Rest of the day at leisure

AM-  After breakfast leave for Habarana en route visit the elephant orphanage at Pinnawela, where one can see the baby Elephants  being fed and bathed.

PM – At Leisure.

OVERNIGHT – CINNAMON LODGE - HABARANA
 
Day _____________________ 3 ______________________________________________________________________________
 
AM- Climb of Sigiriya rock , built by patricide king Kasyapa in the 5th.century A.D. and now a World Heritage site. In a sheltered pocket within the Rock one can  see the famous Sigiriya frescoes, remains of the King’s pleasure garden, studded  with ponds, islets, promenades and pavilions can also be seen.

PM-Visit Polonnaruwa, the medieval capital of Sri Lanka (11-13 century AD) Commence a city tour covering all places of archeological and historical value
such as Parakrama Samudra , the largest man made reservoir, Gal Viharaya – impressive colossal Buddha statues carved out of the face of a granite boulder.  Afterwards return to your hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT – CINNAMON LODGE - HABARANA

AM – After breakfast visit Dambulla. Another World Heritage site. A vast isolated   rock mass 500 ft. high, here is found the famous rock temple, which dates back to the 1st. century B.C. It is here where King Valagambahu took refuge and turned the caves in to this magnificent rock cave temple. Some of the frescoes are over 2000 years old.

PM – Visit The Dambulla Arboretum & Woodlands-established in 1963 by Mr Sam  Popham an ex-planter.

OVERNIGHT – CINNAMON LODGE - HABARANA

AM -Visit Anuradhapura the first capital of Sri Lanka and undoubtedly the grandest City of ancient Ceylon and now a world Heritage site .Commence a city tour covering all places of archaeological and historical interest, such as the The  Brazen Palace, Ruwanweliseya, Samadhi Buddha Statue  and the Sri Maha  Bodhi, the oldest historically documented tree in the world.

PM –Visit Mihintale, situated about 13 km east of Anuradhapura, a pilgrimage Site of several religious monuments and abandoned structures and known to be the site of a meeting between the Buddhist monk Mahinda and King   Devanampiyatissa which inaugurated the very presence of Buddhism in Sri  Lanka.

OVERNIGHT – CINNAMON LODGE - HABARANA

AM – After breakfast leave for Kandy, en route visiting a spice garden in Matale.  Arrive at your hotel and relax.

PM – Do a city tour of Kandy, the hill capital of Sri Lanka and the last stronghold of   the Sinhalese Kings. Visit all the interesting places such as the Temple of the  Tooth Relic, where the sacred tooth of the Lord Buddha is enshrined.

OVERNIGHT-MAHAWELI REACH HOTEL – KANDY
 
Day _____________________ 7 ______________________________________________________________________________
  AM –Visit Peradeniya Botanical Gardens where one can see ell over 5000 varieties of tropical and sub tropical plants and trees. The orchid house here is the finest   in Asia.

PM – Al leisure.EVENING – Visit Kandy Lake Club  or to the Avanhala to view a  memorable Cultural Pageant and a Fire Walking Show. 

OVERNIGHT-MAHAWELI REACH HOTEL – KANDY

AM – After breakfast leave for Nuwara Eliya, en-route visit a tea factory at Labukelle.Also stop at Ramboda  Water Falls for scenery.

PM.-Relax or look around  Nuwara Eliya, the heart of the Sri Lankan hill country, and the home of the world famous Sri Lankan Tea. The salubrious climate, mist  glens are of typical British character.

OVERNIGHT- ST. ANDREWS HOTEL -  NUWARA ELIYA

  AM– Early morning visit Horton Plains the only National Park situated in the Hill Country to see the “World’s End” this silent, strange, beautiful  highland 2000m. above sea level is unique in Sri Lanka and is within the Park. Endemic   slender loris and endemic purple monkey are among the important animal species that could be seen in addition to the sambhur and wild boar.There are some endemic avifauna also (Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged).

PM - At leisure or visit the Hakgala botanical gardens, where one ca see plants and trees that thrive in the cooler climates.

OVERNIGHT – ST. ANDREWS HOTEL, NUWARA ELIYA

AM –After breakfast leave for Sinharaja.

PM – At leisure

OVERNIGHT – BOULDER GARDEN- SINHARAJA
 
Day _____________________ 11 ______________________________________________________________________________
  AM - Early morning visit Sinharaja Rain Forest, famous for its endemic bird life And a World Heritage site.(Pick- nick breakfast to be arranged).

PM - Leave for Embilipitiya. Arrive at Centuria hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT – CENTURIYA HOTEL - EMBILIPITIYA

AM - Early morning visit the Uda Walawe National Park by Jeep (Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged) sizeable herds of elephants can be seen here.

PM- At leisure or Optional afternoon safari of Udawalawe.

OVERNIGHT – CENTURIYA HOTEL EMBILIPITIYA

  AM - After breakfast leave for Yala. Arrive at Yala Village Hotel and relax.

OVERNIGHT- YALA VILLAGE HOTEL -YALA
 
Day _____________________ 14 ______________________________________________________________________________
  AM - Commence a morning safari of the Yala National Park by Jeep. This is the     oldest National Park on the island which boasts of many varieties of Mammals,  Reptiles, the leopard is more commonly seen here. Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged or return to hotel for late breakfast.

PM - At leisure or afternoon safari tour of Yala National Park by Jeep.

OVERNIGHT- YALA VILLAGE HOTEL - YALA
 
Day _____________________ 15 ______________________________________________________________________________
  AM - Visit Bundala National Park, more famous for its bird life. Buffalo and Deer  can also be seen here. Perhaps this is the best place to see the island’s two crocodile species (Pick-nick breakfast to be arranged). After the safari return to  your hotel and relax.

PM - At leisure.

OVERNIGHT- YALA VILLAGE HOTEL-YALA

  AM - After breakfast leave for Galle, en-route, visit  the Turtle hatchery at Tangalle.

PM - Arrive at Lighthouse Hotel in Galle and relax.

  AM - After breakfast visit the old Dutch Fort in Galle, another World Heritage site, after which proceed to Colombo. Arrive at Mt Lavinia Hotel and relax.

PM - At leisure

OVERNIGHT- MT LAVINIA HOTEL-MT. LAVINIA

  AM - Do a city tour of Colombo, visiting interesting places such as the National  Museum, Pettah Bazzar, Dutch Period Museum, Old and new Parliamentary Complex etc.

PM - At leisure or free to do some shopping

OVERNIGHT- MT LAVINIA HOTEL-MT. LAVINIA

  AM - PM - Leave for Bandaranaike Airport, to be there at least 3 1/2 hours prior to departure time.
